        Albert Vendrell
(Artés, 1975)
Graduate in Biology (1998) and Environmental Science (2001)
     
    Degrees in Biology (1998) and Environmental Science (2001) from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, post-graduate degree in Regional and Town Planning (2004) from the Polytechnic University of Milan. Has worked for ERF as an environmental technician since November 2005.

Professional and training abroad includes an Erasmus grant to take part in the Environmental Sciences and Forestry International Programme organised by the University of Joensuu (Finland) in 2001. Worked as a technician for Umweltdata GmBH in Vienna in 2002 and 2003, engaged in photointerpretation and digital cartography tasks for environmental management projects. Finally, in 2004 he completed his post-graduate studies with a traineeship at Ambienteitalia srl in Milan, where in took part in such projects as the implementation of the Agenda 21 process in Manfredonia (Puglia).

In Catalonia, worked as a biology technician in Montseny Natural Park (1998-2000), monitoring and proposing measures to recover the white-clawed crayfish, and, until November 2005, for Sineria Engineering and Consulting, SL of Barcelona, where he took part of a Interreg IIIC European Programme project for strategic environmental evaluation of regional and urban planning in drawing up a development plan for Pisa City Council. He also drew up the technical part of a proposal to draft a sustainable mobility plan for Pisa under the aegis of the European Union's LIFE 2006 programme.

Co-author of a study of the white-clawed crayfish in Montseny, El cranc de riu ibèric Austrapotamobius pallipes Lereboullet al Montseny. Set anys d'estudi al Parc Natural del Montseny (1998-2004), an internal publication for a seminar at Montseny Natural Park in 2004. In May 2002 he published the results of his environmental science project on comparative costs of different forms of selective waste collection in the magazine Residuos under the title ACV comparativo de la recogida selectiva utilizando iglú o contenedores de carga lateral.

Has worked for ERF since November 2005, taking part in several projects: Promoting Arid Inland Landscapes in Catalonia, Maresme County Strategic Development Plan and Strategic Environmental Analysis of the Barcelona Metropolitan Region Mobility Plan, amongst others.
