Professional Experience

2006: work for the Environment Department of a TGV maintenance plant operated by the French rail operator Société Nationale des Chemins de fer Français (SNCF).

2007-2010: worked for three years at the engineering company Endesa Ingeniería as head of solar and energy efficiency projects.

Active member of the Catalan Association of Industrial Engineers, serving on its Sub-Committee on Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency.

Renewable energy and energy efficiency in buildings

• Designing, managing and monitoring solar thermal project works. Outstandingly, work on solar thermal projects for social housing built by REGESA and ARALIA (Barcelona province).

• Feasibility studies for centralised solar thermal plants in Barcelona and Manresa.

• Cooperation in the design of different types of photovoltaic projects: off-grid in the Pyrenees; industrial units all over Catalonia; and a 6MW ground-mounted PV system installed in fields near Murcia

• 10 kW grid-connected small wind power project in Barcelona.

• Feasibility studies for microgeneration plants at multi-sports facilities and housing blocks in Catalan towns.

• Feasibility study for installing a solar absorption cooling system in a Barcelona hotel.

• Study of the use of energy service companies (ESCs) to promote centralised plants in Catalonia.

Greening buildings and organisations

• Evaluation of environmental improvements at the SNCF’s TGV maintenance plant in Strasbourg, France, with a view to obtaining ISO 14001 certification.
