Biographical sketch    
        Josep Escarrą
(Vic, 1981)
Graduate in Environmental Science (2003)
     
    Degree in Environmental Science from the University of Girona (2003) and post-graduate degree in Agents of International Development from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (2006).

In 2002 he developed the Project for the Feasibility of the System of Treating Waste with a High Nitrogen Content for Gurb local authority and completed his final degree project for the Consortium for the Protection and Management of the Alta Garrotxa Area of Natural Interest, focusing on sports use of natural heritage.

He jointed the Canudas engineering firm in 2003, working as an environmental consultant and technician, firstly on projects for environmental authorisation for activities, environmental impact studies, restoration of mines and action requiring building permits in zones near water bodies, and later in town, regional and landscape planning, carrying out landscape impact studies and environmental reports on different planning aspects.

At the same time, he worked as an environmental consultant for architectural firms, acting as an external tutor for a final degree project at the University of Vic and as an environmental expert for the Catalan High Court.

He joined ERF as an environmental consultant in June 2006. He combines his professional career with work for international cooperation organisations and the Association of Environmentalists of Catalonia, for which he became Central Catalonia representative in 2006.
