    Engaged in the world of business since 1966, firstly with five years working graphic arts companies Pauta SA and Printex and construction equipment manufacturer Spit, SA, engaged principally in external areas: commercial, import/export, external relations and image and communication. In 1971 she went to London to perfect her English and acquire new skills and experience in international relations, working for the mining company Consolidated Gold Fields, Ltd, where she helped translate the Spanish Mining Plan. Returning to Barcelona in 1973, she joined Laboratories Ferrer Internacional as assistant marketing director.

In 1975, she first entered the world of institutions, working principally in the field of external relations: FC Barcelona (1975-79) and the Generalitat of Catalonia Presidential Department (Minister's Office, 1979-1982). She later returned to the private sector as export director for C. Soler Almirall, S.A. (1982-85) and head of sales administration for the British pre-printing equipment company Crosfield Electronics (1985-88). In 1988, she became commercial director at the Catalan Institute of Technology (1988-90), later occupying a similar post at MABB Sistemas Interactivos, a member of the SONO group (1990-93).

In 1993, with two other partners, she set up SIE Serveis Integrals d'Empresa, a firm providing management and organisation consultancy to small and medium-sized enterprises, where she worked as commercial and image and communication consultant until 1997. Whist so engaged, in 1994, she founded ERF Gestió i Comunicació Ambiental with Ramon Folch. ERF is a firm of environmental consultants engaged in promoting and developing studies and projects for sustainable urban and regional planning and management. In 1997 she left SIE to devote herself exclusively to ERF, where she is partner and administrator.

She was a member of the board of the ACECMA Catalan Association of Engineering and Environmental Consultants from 1999 to 2003, acting as its secretary from 1999 to 2001.
