Caldes de Montbui closes the PAESC participatory process

The proposals resulting from citizen participation have been incorporated into the five axes of the local program to face climate emergency

The open session of the Climate Action Plan (PAC, included in the PAESC) of Caldes de Montbui, held on July 5, marked the end of the participatory process to define the proposals with the public. ERF presented the results of the roadmap in an online meeting which was attended by staff from the consistory of the Department of Sustainability and Ecology, the area of Territorial Services, and Citizen Participation.

As a result of the participatory process, the new Plan integrates measures proposed by the public aimed at promoting energy efficiency and the consumption of renewables, promoting sustainable mobility within the municipality, improving waste management and the use of water and protecting the natural environment and biodiversity. The plan also incorporates cross-cutting actions to consolidate public awareness of the climate emergency, and encourage participation.

In this way, the Caldes city council takes a step forward to approve, at the beginning of the next year, the Climate Action Plan 2021-2024 (derived from the Climate Emergency motion of 2019), and the Energy Action Plan Sustainable and Climate 2021-2030 (in accordance with the requirements of the Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy).
