The Epizen shopping center in Andorra will be a LEED certified building

The building will incorporate measures to reduce its environmental impact at all stages of its lifespan

ERF is collaborating with the Pyrénées Group for the LEED energy and environmental certification of the new Epizen shopping center, in Sant Julià de Lòria (Andorra). This certification, granted by the U.S. The Green Building Council (USGBC) provides a concise framework to identify and implement sustainable, practical, and measurable solutions for all phases of a building’s life.

The new shopping center, with five floors above ground and 55,750 square meters, will incorporate measures to reduce its environmental impact such as waste management during construction and subsequent use, monitoring of the energy consumption, optimization of the energy efficiency and reduction of water consumption since its coming into operation. The design of the building also takes into account the quality of the interior air of the building, the life cycle of the materials used, and the reuse of the existing building. The building will have three levels reserved for parking, in which chargers for electric vehicles will be placed.
