Climate change

The 15th October 2015, the European Union launched the new Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy. This initiative aims to integrate the successful Covenant of Mayors, who have been signed more than 6.500 municipalities in 55 countries since it was established in 2007, with the commitments of Mayors Adapt that was pushed in 2014. & nbsp;

The Mayors Commitment has resulted in the development of SEAP (Sustainable Energy Action Plans) with the aim of fixing actions to reduce 20% of emissions of greenhouse gases by 2020. ERF he has had the opportunity to collaborate with various municipalities to prepare their SEAP (Sabadell, Sant Joan Despi, Sant Boi de Llobregat, Rellinars ...). The new integrated Plan proposes renewing actions to achieve the 40% reduction in emissions of greenhouse gases by 2030.

The climate change adaptation plans derived of Mayors Adapt Commitment had a short life period. ERF has had the opportunity to work for Rellinars, El Prat de Llobregat and Barcelona Metropolitan Area in the development of plans to build more resilient territories, analyzing the climate change risks and actions to achive a progressive and efficient adaptation. We have also worked with private corporations in this direction.

The new Convenant for Climate and Energy provides an integral vision of climate change mitigation and adaptation . The instrument proposed by the EU is the SECAP (Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plans) with an horizon 2030. ERF is promoting this perspective, as it seems logical this holistic view.

We offer over services to local authorities and corporations to collaborate both for the definción of SECAP as for the development and implementation of energy efficiency projects, promotion of renewable energies and adaptation of infrastructures and services to climate crags.
